Let's talk boundaries...

Updated: Mar 16, 2021

‘I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught.’ Winston Churchill.

Something I've been (still) learning over 2020, and which continues to be on the agenda for this year is BOUNDARIES.

For me, it's when things get busy that these slip.

This means:

- Giving more than I am able to in a healthy way

- Holding space for someone or something, more than they are putting in, creating resentment

- Sacrificing creative time for being 'busy.'

I still experience so much resistance really putting these boundaries in. Why? Because it means saying No. No thank you. I think not. It's not for me. I can't help you right now. I don't have time right this minute. All of these go in the 'very f-ing uncomfortable' category 🤣

It's putting myself first.

Anyone else struggle with these? What tips do you have for bypassing guilt and getting on with it?
