Principles...

There are several books I go back to time, and time, AND TIME! again….

📕 Untethered Soul by Michael A Singer

📗 Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself Dr Joe Dispenza

📘 Why Men Walk and Women Talk Patricia Love and StevenStosney

And...

Principles by Ray Dalio, in which he shares some of his guiding principles in work and life #stoic

Such a great read for Solopreneurs or Managers alike and especially good for improving teamwork and understanding others (I can think of a few people I’ll be sending this to next Christmas 😆 #teamwork)

Key takeaways:

1️⃣ Be RADICALLY open-minded. And let go of your ego.

2️⃣ Keep it real. I have adopted Dalio’s term “hyperrealist” (it sounds so much better than sceptic 😉) He advocates embracing reality and simply dealing with it. Focus on the things you CAN control rather than complain about the things you can't.

3️⃣ Understand that everyone is wired differently 🎛. Know the strengths and weaknesses of yourself and try to accept those of others.

4️⃣ Use a 5 step process to get what you want:

👉 Have a CLEAR goal

👉 Identify potential barriers

👉 Diagnose problems to get to the root cause #gethonest

👉 Design a plan to get you around the problems

👉 Do whatever is required to push these designs for results

Which books do you go back to time and time again?

Let me know in the comments below - and thank you to everyone who sent me books last year 🤓📚
